Position: QA Engineer I

Experience : 1 to 2 Year

Location: Pune

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer with strong experience in both automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through robust testing strategies, automation frameworks, and continuous improvement practices.

Job Responsibilities

1. Test Planning & Strategy

- Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs

- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies

- Estimate testing efforts and timelines

2. Automation Testing

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks
- Write and execute automated test scripts using tools like Python, Robot framework, etc
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Improve automation coverage and efficiency

3. Manual Testing

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing

- Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, etc.

- Validate UI/UX, APIs, and backend systems

4. Collaboration

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams

- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Standups, Retrospectives)

- Provide quality insights and risk assessments

5. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

- Establish QA best practices, standards, and processes





- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures

- Mentor junior QA engineers

Must Have Skills

Technical Skills

- Robust experience in automation tools (Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Robot framework)

- Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.)

- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)

- Knowledge of test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.)

- Experience with version control systems (Git)

Manual Testing Skills

- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC

- Expertise in writing detailed test cases and scenarios

- Experience in defect tracking and reporting

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and documentation skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Nice / Good to have skills

- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner

- Basic knowledge of security testing and vulnerability assessment

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

- Experience working with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
