Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall quality control and quality assurance activities in the foundry.
- Monitor quality of raw materials, moulding, melting, pouring, fettling and finished castings.
- Ensure castings meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Identify and reduce casting defects such as blow holes, shrinkage, cracks, porosity, sand inclusion and misrun.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports and rejection/rework data.
- Coordinate with Production, Melting, Maintenance and Stores departments to resolve quality issues.
- Handle customer complaints and ensure timely corrective action.
- Monitor and improve process parameters and quality performance.
- Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Train quality inspectors and production staff on quality procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports and KPI reports.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production or related field.
- Strong experience in foundry casting quality.
- Knowledge of ferrous/non-ferrous casting processes, as applicable.
- Good knowledge of inspection methods, measuring instruments and casting defect analysis.
- Knowledge of 7 QC tools, 5 Why, Fishbone, RCA and CAPA.
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
Pay: ₹19,504.04 - ₹69,687.62 per month
