- Evaluates and organizes patients’ care & ensures continuity of care based on patients’ needs.
- Ensures nurse-patient communication/patient education is transparent and effective.
- Collaborates with all the Nursing Units and other service areas departments for patient-related and other requirements.
- Accompanies Consultants on rounds patient care.
- Administers medication using correct procedures.
- Ensures to take responsibility of Admissions, Discharges, and Transfers to other department.
- Ensures to take responsibility for collection of samples and sending for investigations.
- Documents in all relevant records as per hospital policy.
- Ensures to take inventory of back up medicines, high-alert, instruments, equipments etc.
- Ensures to take inventory for crash cart and to keeps it ready to use.
- Implements emergency life resuscitative measures.
- Documents patient care in a manner that is clear, complete,and concise and in compliance with nursing documentation standard.
- Ensures adherence to accreditation protocols.
- Practices infection control protocols to protect patients from acquiring or spreading infections.
