Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Production Planning & Target Achievement
- Execute daily and monthly production plans as per schedule.
- Monitor production output against planned targets.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders.
- Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other departments.
- Metal Packaging Production
- Supervise production activities such as:
- Sheet feeding and metal printing
- Coating / varnishing
- Slitting and shearing
- Component making
- Body making / forming
- Welding / seaming
- Pressing and stamping
- Assembly
- Packing and dispatch preparation
- Ensure correct machine settings and process parameters as per approved specifications.
- Quality Control
- Ensure production is carried out according to customer specifications and approved standards.
- Monitor critical quality parameters such as dimensions, printing quality, coating, welding, seaming, leakage, dents, scratches, contamination and packing.
- Ensure first-piece approval before starting mass production.
- Coordinate with QC for in-process and final inspection.
- Take corrective action for process deviations and rejection.
- Manpower Management
- Allocate manpower according to production requirements.
- Monitor attendance, discipline and work performance.
- Provide on-the-job training to operators and helpers.
- Ensure operators follow SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.
- Machine & Equipment Management
- Ensure machines are operated according to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and minimize breakdown-related production losses.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.




- Ensure proper machine changeover and setting during product changes.
- Material Management
- Ensure availability of required raw materials, components, inks, coatings, consumables and packing materials.
- Prevent material wastage and unnecessary consumption.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials and finished products.
- 5S & Housekeeping
- Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S standards in the production area.
- Ensure proper storage of tools, dies, materials and finished goods.
- Keep production areas free from unnecessary materials and waste.
- Safety & Compliance
- Ensure employees use required PPE.
- Enforce safe operating practices around presses, printing machines, welding equipment, conveyors and other machinery.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents and near misses.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental procedures.
- Production Documentation
- Maintain production reports, shift reports and downtime records.
- Record production quantity, rejection, rework, wastage and machine downtime.
- Ensure proper batch/lot identification and production traceability.
- Prepare shift handover reports.
- Productivity & Cost Control
- Monitor machine efficiency, manpower productivity and material utilization.
- Reduce rejection, rework, scrap and process losses.




- Identify production bottlenecks and implement improvement actions.
- Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Coordination & Shift Handover
- Coordinate with Production Manager, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, PPC and Dispatch.
- Conduct effective shift handovers.
- Communicate pending production, machine issues, quality concerns and material shortages to the next shift.

Qualification

- Diploma / ITI / B.E Mechanical, Production or related discipline.
- Relevant experience in metal packaging, tin container manufacturing, sheet metal, printing or similar manufacturing industry preferred.

Skills Required

- Knowledge of metal packaging manufacturing processes
- Machine operation and production supervision
- Manpower handling
- Production planning and monitoring
- Quality awareness
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and basic Lean Manufacturing
- Safety awareness
- Basic computer and production-reporting skills
- Good communication and team-management skills

Experience

Typically 3–7 years of relevant manufacturing experience, preferably in metal packaging, tin can manufacturing, metal printing, fabrication or similar production environments.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
