JOB DESCRIPTION HPDC Machine Maintenance Technician Department: Maintenance Position: HPDC Machine Maintenance Technician Industry: High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) / Die Casting Manufacturing Experience: 0–5 Years Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Employment Type: Full Time Job Summary We are looking for an experienced HPDC Machine Maintenance Technician to handle preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance of High Pressure Die Casting machines and associated equipment. The technician will be responsible for maintaining machine availability, reducing breakdown time, and ensuring safe and reliable machine operation. Key Responsibilities 1. HPDC Machine Maintenance - Attend and troubleshoot HPDC machine breakdowns. - Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical troubleshooting. - Maintain HPDC machines, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, pumps, valves and cylinders. - Troubleshoot injection, clamping, ejection and hydraulic systems. - Check and maintain pressure sensors, proximity sensors, limit switches, solenoid valves and control circuits. - Attend machine alarms, interlocks and PLC-related faults. - Replace faulty electrical and mechanical components as required. - Carry out machine parameter and function checks after maintenance. 2. Preventive Maintenance - Execute daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance activities. - Inspect critical machine components and identify potential failures. - Check hydraulic oil level, pressure, temperature, leakage and filtration systems. - Check motors, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, bearings and lubrication systems. - Maintain PM checklists and maintenance records.



- Follow the planned maintenance schedule to minimize unplanned breakdowns. 3. Breakdown Maintenance - Respond quickly to production breakdown calls. - Identify root causes of machine failures. - Restore machines safely and within the required time. - Record breakdown details, action taken, spare parts used and machine downtime. - Support MTTR reduction and machine availability improvement. 4. Electrical & Control Systems - Troubleshoot MCC, control panels, contactors, relays, MCB/MPCB, overloads and SMPS. - Basic knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and machine I/O checking. - Troubleshoot VFD/drive-related faults. - Check sensors, encoders, pressure transducers and other machine feedback devices. - Read and understand electrical control diagrams. 5. Hydraulic & Pneumatic Maintenance - Troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, valves, manifolds, cylinders and pressure-related problems. - Identify and rectify hydraulic oil leakage. - Maintain pneumatic valves, FRL units, cylinders and air lines. - Check hydraulic and pneumatic pressure according to machine requirements. 6. Safety & Documentation - Follow all plant safety procedures and LOTO practices. - Use proper PPE and safe maintenance methods. - Maintain maintenance reports, checklists and breakdown history. - Coordinate with Production and other departments during breakdowns and maintenance activities.



- Maintain housekeeping in the maintenance work area. Required Skills - Strong troubleshooting knowledge of HPDC machines. - Valuable understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. - Basic to intermediate electrical troubleshooting skills. - Knowledge of PLC, sensors and industrial control systems. - Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams. - Knowledge of motors, pumps, valves, cylinders and industrial equipment. - Good problem-solving and fault-finding ability. - Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns. Preferred Experience Experience with HPDC machines from manufacturers such as: - Bühler - LK - Toshiba - UBE - Italpresse Gauss - Other equivalent HPDC machines Experience with die-casting furnaces, dosing systems, die spray systems, conveyors and auxiliary equipment will be an added advantage. Good coordination with Production and Maintenance teams is required.
