Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Engineer with robust technical procurement and vendor management experience in a manufacturing workplace. The candidate will be responsible for technical sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, purchase coordination, inventory management, and ensuring timely availability of materials for robotics and dispensing machine manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities1. Technical Procurement & Sourcing

- Source mechanical and specialized components for robotics and dispensing machines.
- Understand and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and revisions.
- Ensure accuracy of material specifications, quantities, revisions, and purchase orders.
- Review Technical Data Sheets (TDS) and verify component specifications.
- Coordinate with Design and Production teams to clarify technical requirements.

2. Vendor Development & Management

- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors, particularly within the Pune industrial region and selected global suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, lead time, pricing, and credit terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and suppliers.

3. Cost Optimization

- Identify alternative materials and components through Value Engineering.




- Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality, performance, or machine reliability.
- Compare vendor quotations and negotiate competitive commercial terms.

4. Inventory & Material Coordination

- Coordinate with Stores and Production Planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor stock levels and future material requirements to avoid shortages and production downtime.
- Support inventory optimization and reduction of excess or slow-moving inventory.
- Coordinate the Inward Quality process to ensure received materials match the purchase order specifications and quantities.

5. Import/Export & Documentation

- Handle and coordinate GST, customs duty, import/export documentation, and related procurement requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics partners, customs agents, freight forwarders, testing agencies, and other service providers.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable documentation and commercial requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical components, materials, and industrial parts.
- Good understanding of technical drawings, BOMs, specifications, and TDS.
- Strong vendor development and vendor management skills.
- Excellent negotiation,

- Knowledge of GST, customs duty, and import/export documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement activities and meet deadlines.

Job Requirements

- 3+ years of relevant experience in Purchase / Procurement / Technical Purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
- Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience in sourcing mechanical components and industrial materials will be preferred.
- Candidates with knowledge of robotics, automation, dispensing machines, or machine manufacturing will be an added advantage.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a notice period of up to 30 days will be preferred.

Working Conditions

- Full time position based at the Pune (Baner) location.
- Vendor visits may be required based on business requirements.
- Candidate should be flexible to handle urgent procurement or operational requirements when necessary.

Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
