Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend-Heavy) — GraphQL / Node / Postgres / AWS

Contract · Remote · $1,800–$2,200 per phase· Per phase pay. one phase ≈ 6 - 8 weeks

We're building a custom project portal for a systems-integration company. You'll own the backend and the infrastructure it runs on - most importantly, a two-way data sync between HubSpot and Jetbuilt that has to be bulletproof, running on AWS you're responsible for.

This is the senior seat on the team. If a record silently fails to sync across three systems, or the infrastructure falls over, it's yours to prevent and yours to fix.

You'll be working on:

- GraphQL schema and resolvers (Apollo Server 4) - this app does reads and writes over GraphQL, no REST
- A two-way sync engine: HubSpot webhooks in, Jetbuilt API out, keyed on external IDs so records never duplicate
- Conflict resolution (HubSpot wins), retries, and error recovery across three systems
- SSO,



role-based permissions, and notification triggers
- Owning the AWS infrastructure: deployment, hosting, backups, and keeping it reliable and secure

You should have:

- 5–6 years full-stack, backend-focused
- Node 21 + Express + Apollo Server 4 (or strong Apollo/GraphQL server experience)
- Solid PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
- Robust AWS experience — deploying and running production apps (compute, RDS/Postgres, networking, IAM, backups, monitoring)
- Real third-party API + webhook integration experience (idempotency, rate limits, retries)
- TypeScript throughout

Bonus: OAuth2/SAML SSO, background jobs/queues, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD, HubSpot or Jetbuilt, prior CRM-sync work.
