Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Functional Tester Business Analyst with strong expertise in Order Management Systems OMS banking domain processes wealth management products database testing and data validation The candidate will be responsible for understanding business requirements designing functional test scenarios validating data flows managing test execution cycles and maintaining testing artefacts using Jira Xray

Key Responsibilities

- Review business requirements functional specifications user stories and acceptance criteria for OMS banking and wealth management applications
- Work closely with business stakeholders product owners development teams and QA teams to clarify requirements and define test coverage
- Prepare detailed test scenarios test cases test data and traceability artefacts aligned to business rules and functional workflows
- Execute functional system integration regression endtoend and user acceptance testing across OMS and wealth management platforms
- Perform database testing using SQL queries to validate data integrity transformations reconciliations and downstream data flows
- Validate order lifecycle processes trade flows customeraccount data portfolio information transaction records and reporting outputs
- Manage test cycles test executions defects evidence and status reporting using Jira Xray
- Log defects with transparent steps to reproduce expected results actual results severity priority screenshots and supporting data evidence
- Support defect triage retesting regression testing and closure activities with development and business teams
- Maintain reusable test artefacts regression packs requirement traceability and testing documentation for future releases
- Provide testing progress updates risks blockers and quality metrics to project stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience

- Experience range: 6-15 years




- Strong experience as a Functional Tester QA Analyst or Business Analyst in banking capital markets or wealth management projects
- Handson understanding of Order Management Systems including order capture order validation order routing amendments cancellations execution status and trade lifecycle workflows
- Good knowledge of banking and wealth management concepts such as customer onboarding account maintenance portfolio management securities transactions holdings fees and regulatory reporting
- Proficiency in database testing and data validation using SQL including joins filters aggregations reconciliation checks and sourcetotarget validation
- Experience managing test cases test plans test executions defects traceability and reports using Jira Xray
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical documentation communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in Agile delivery models sprint testing release testing and defect lifecycle management

Preferred Skills:

- Exposure to APIs middleware batch jobs filebased integrations and downstream reporting validations
- Understanding of trade processing settlements confirmations reconciliations and exception handling
- Experience supporting UAT planning business user coordination and test signoff activities
- Knowledge of test estimation test strategy preparation release readiness reporting and quality governance
- Basic understanding of automation testing concepts is an added advantage

Tools and Technologies:

- Jira and Jira Xray for test management traceability execution and defect tracking
- SQL tools for database querying data validation and reconciliation
- Microsoft Excel for test data analysis reporting and reconciliation support
- Confluence or similar tools for documentation and knowledge management
- Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Finance or a related discipline
- Relevant experience in functional testing business analysis banking technology OMS or wealth management platforms
- ISTQB Agile Scrum business analysis or domain certifications will be an advantage
