Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality streaming applications that provide a seamless and enjoyable user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to identify, document, and verify issues and to validate the functionality and performance of the streaming app. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and possesses a passion for delivering flawless applications to our users.

Responsibilities

- Test Planning: Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans and test cases for the streaming app.
- Test Execution: Execute test cases to validate the functionality, performance, and user experience of the streaming app across various devices, platforms, and network conditions.
- Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not introduce new issues or negatively impact existing functionalities.
- Compatibility Testing:



Perform compatibility testing across different devices, browsers, and operating systems to ensure broad compatibility for the streaming app.
- Usability Testing: Evaluate the user interface and user experience of the streaming app to ensure it aligns with design specifications and industry best practices.
- Performance Testing: Measure and analyze the streaming app's performance, identifying bottlenecks and areas for optimization to enhance streaming quality and minimize buffering.
- Bug Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools, providing detailed information to developers for efficient issue resolution.
- Test Automation: Work with the automation team to identify test cases suitable for automation and collaborate in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to the development team on areas for improvement in app performance, user experience, and overall quality.
- Documentation: Create detailed test reports, test logs, and test summaries to communicate testing results and progress to stakeholders.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute for formal education).
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in testing mobile and web applications, preferably streaming apps.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools,



and processes.
- Familiarity with mobile and ctv app testing on various platforms (iOS, Android, Roku, FireTV, Samsung Tizen, LG etc.) and web browsers.
- Experience with testing streaming technologies and protocols (e.g., HLS, MPEG-DASH, WebRTC) is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in using testing and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Bugzilla).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technicaland non-technical team members.
- Experience in AI & Data-driven testing techniques.
- A passion for ensuring the highest quality user experience in streaming applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, agile developmentenvironment.
- Experience in writing test automations is a plus.
