Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Professor (Mechanical Engineering) role based at CT Group of Institutions in Jalandhar. The Assistant Professor will deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in core mechanical engineering subjects, design and update course materials, and conduct tutorials, labs, and project guidance sessions. Responsibilities include supervising student projects, mentoring learners, and contributing to curriculum enhancement in alignment with industry and accreditation standards. The role also involves pursuing research, publishing in reputable journals, participating in academic committees, supporting departmental events,
and engaging in professional development and outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in core Mechanical Engineering areas such as Heat Transfer and Solid Mechanics.
- Candidates should possess skills in Robotics and its applications relevant to mechanical and automation engineering.
- Candidates should possess experience in Curriculum Development, including course design, learning outcomes, and assessment strategies.
- Candidates should possess research skills, including problem formulation, experimentation or simulation, data analysis, and scholarly publication.
- Master's degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline; Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred and may be required as per regulatory norms.
- Demonstrated teaching ability, effective classroom management, and student-centric mentoring approach.
- Familiarity with modern teaching tools, laboratory equipment, and relevant software (e.g., CAD/CAE tools, simulation packages).
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic team.
- Commitment to ethical conduct, continuous learning, and contribution to departmental and institutional growth.
