Job Summary:
The SMaRT Trial is an intervention study evaluating the effects of a structured progressive resistance exercise and nutritional intervention on muscle health and functional outcomes among women receiving treatment for breast and gynaecological cancers. The study will assess changes in muscle strength, muscle mass, physical function, fatigue, quality of life and treatment-related outcomes, along with relevant biochemical/biomarker assessments. The Project Technical Support Staff will support participant recruitment, nutritional and physiological assessments, implementation and monitoring of the intervention, follow-up and study documentation.
Salary : Rs.36,400/- p.m

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, screen and recruit eligible participants with breast or gynaecological cancer according to the approved study protocol.
- Coordinate with the oncology team and study investigators for participant identification, recruitment and scheduling of study visits.
- Conduct and document nutritional, anthropometric and dietary assessments at baseline and specified follow-up time points.
- Provide nutrition education and counselling to participants in accordance with the study protocol.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of the nutritional intervention, including protein supplementation as specified in the protocol.
- Assist the study team in implementation and monitoring of the progressive resistance exercise intervention, including participant adherence and attendance.
- Coordinate baseline,
post-intervention and follow-up assessments of muscle strength, muscle mass and physical function.
- Coordinate physiological and biochemical/biomarker assessments and ensure timely completion of investigations as per the study schedule.
- Maintain participant records, case report forms, intervention logs, exercise/adherence records and follow-up documentation.
- Actively follow up participants during cancer treatment and intervention to improve adherence and retention and document treatment-related events and study outcomes.
- Ensure proper collection, processing, labelling and documentation of biological samples according to the study SOPs, where applicable.
- Perform accurate data entry, data verification and maintenance of study databases.
- Assist with data cleaning, preliminary analysis, preparation of progress reports and other project-related documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information and ensure compliance with the approved protocol, ethics requirements and institutional research procedures.
- Undertake any other research-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Eligibility Criteria:
Preferred Qualifications: MSc Nutrition GATE/CSIR/-UGC NET or equivalent examination passed candidates will be preferred
Age Criteria : 35 Years
Experience : Preference for candidates with experience in nutrition counselling and lifestyle management programs and Should have experience in running research study especially intervention programs
Preferred Language: English, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi
