LOGISTICS OPERATIONS COORDINATOR – AFRICA

IMGS Group is looking for a Logistics Operations Coordinator – Africa to coordinate logistics and operations for bulk commodity shipments across Africa. The candidate will manage shipment planning, transportation, port activities, equipment, documentation, and coordination with different suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations for bulk cargo shipments
- Handle vessel and cargo planning
- Coordinate port operations and cargo movements
- Plan and coordinate equipment allocation
- Arrange and monitor transportation and delivery schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, ports, transporters, and customers
- Prepare and manage shipping and logistics documents
- Monitor multiple shipments and activities simultaneously
- Follow up on delays and resolve operational issues




- Maintain accurate shipment and logistics records
- Prepare regular operations updates and reports
- Ensure cargo movements are completed smoothly and on schedule

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics or operations
- Experience with bulk cargo or commodity shipments is an advantage
- Knowledge of Africa trade routes and port operations is preferred
- Good coordination and multitasking skills
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments
- Willing to travel when required
