CIMER – Chettinad Institute of Medical Education & Research, KGF - Karnataka is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – HR who can independently manage and oversee the complete HR function. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations, recruitment, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, employee relations, HR documentation, workforce management and ensuring smooth implementation of HR policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage end-to-end HR operations for the institution.
- Handle complete recruitment and manpower planning for clinical, non-clinical, academic, administrative and support functions.
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including joining, onboarding, induction, transfers, promotions, confirmation, disciplinary actions and separation.
- Maintain and manage employee personal files, HR records, appointment orders, contracts, service certificates and other HR documentation.
- Independently handle PF, ESI, PT, LWF and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory returns and maintain all related records and registers.
- Coordinate with payroll/accounts team for monthly payroll processing, salary inputs, deductions, attendance, leave, overtime, incentives and statutory deductions.
- Manage PF/ESI employee registrations, transfers, withdrawals, corrections and related employee queries.
- Monitor and manage attendance, leave and shift records and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, absenteeism, misconduct and other employee-relations issues.
- Draft and issue appointment letters, confirmation letters, promotion letters, transfer letters, warning letters, show-cause notices, relieving letters and other HR communications.
- Develop, implement and maintain HR policies, SOPs and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and organizational HR policies.
- Maintain statutory records and coordinate with government authorities, consultants and auditors whenever required.
- Manage employee engagement, welfare activities and grievance-resolution initiatives.
- Conduct performance appraisal, confirmation and employee review processes.
- Monitor manpower strength, vacancies, attrition and departmental requirements.
- Prepare and present HR MIS, headcount reports, attrition reports, recruitment status, attendance reports and statutory compliance reports to management.
- Coordinate with department heads regarding manpower requirements, employee performance and HR-related issues.
- Manage exit interviews, full-and-final coordination, clearance and relieving formalities.
- Handle HR-related inspections, audits and documentation requirements.
- Ensure confidentiality and proper maintenance of employee information and HR records.
- Independently manage day-to-day HR activities and act as the single point of contact for all HR matters at the location.
Skills & Requirements:
- Qualification: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare, hospital, medical education or large institutional environments.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Labour Laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, attendance, leave management and employee documentation.
- Proven ability to independently manage the complete HR function without depending on a larger HR team.
- Strong experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR administration.
- Positive knowledge of HRMS, payroll software and MS Excel.
- Strong documentation, analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with senior management, department heads, employees and statutory authorities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage priorities and handle multiple HR functions independently.
