Career Mentra is looking for an energetic and student-focused Career Counselor / Academic Counselor to join our training institute.

The candidate will be responsible for counselling students and fresh graduates, understanding their career goals, recommending suitable training programs, following up with enquiries, and supporting students through the admission process.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys communicating with students, career guidance, counselling and admissions.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students regarding career opportunities and training programs.
- Understand each student's educational background, interests and career goals.
- Recommend suitable courses based on the student's requirements.
- Explain course curriculum, duration, fees, placement assistance and training methodology.
- Handle enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, website, social media and walk-ins.
- Make outbound calls to prospective students and follow up on leads.
- Convert interested enquiries into admissions.
- Maintain proper records of leads, follow-ups and admissions.
- Schedule counselling sessions and course demonstrations when required.
- Coordinate with trainers and the management team regarding new batches.
- Follow up with students until admission and course commencement.




- Build positive relationships with students and parents.
- Participate in admission campaigns, workshops, seminars and promotional activities.

Candidate Requirements

- Any UG/PG degree.
- Freshers with strong communication skills can apply.
- Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Comfortable communicating with students over phone and in person.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain lead/follow-up records.
- Good interpersonal and convincing skills.
- Target-oriented and willing to work in an education/training environment.
- Previous experience in academic counselling, career counselling, admissions, telecalling, education sales or EdTech will be an advantage.
