Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead and coordinate mechanical engineering, fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning activities for industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for technical coordination, project execution, manpower planning, quality, safety, and timely completion of mechanical works.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise mechanical engineering and site execution activities.
- Plan and coordinate mechanical fabrication, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, method statements, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Planning, Piping, QA/QC, Safety, Procurement, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Monitor project progress against schedules and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Plan manpower, equipment, tools, materials, and other resources required for execution.
- Supervise installation and erection of mechanical equipment, tanks, piping-related mechanical works, structures, and associated systems.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, fit-up, installation, and inspection as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Resolve technical issues and coordinate with engineering/client teams for approvals.
- Monitor productivity, work quality, and daily progress.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications,



applicable codes, standards, and approved procedures.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections, testing, documentation, and punch-point clearance.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, work permits, toolbox meetings, and safe working practices.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Attend project review meetings and provide technical/execution updates.
- Coordinate material requirements and follow up with procurement/stores teams.
- Support project planning, billing, quantity measurement, and documentation.
- Identify delays, technical constraints, and resource issues and implement corrective/recovery actions.
- Guide and mentor mechanical engineers, supervisors, foremen, and site teams.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and industrial project execution.
- Experience in mechanical equipment erection and installation.
- Knowledge of fabrication, erection, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong manpower and resource management skills.
- Project planning, coordination, and progress monitoring.
- Valuable knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and client coordination skills.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

Preferred Experience

Experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, water, chemical, storage tank, piping, or other industrial projects will be preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
