Job Summary

The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, monitoring, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, Internet, Data Center, and Security domains. The role requires expertise in routing, switching, network security, firewall administration, IPS management, DDoS protection, and network performance optimization.

The candidate will play a key role in ensuring high availability, reliability, performance, and security of the organization's network ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

- Manage and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, Internet, and Data Center networks.

- Configure and administer routing and switching infrastructure.

- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of network services.

- Monitor network health and proactively address performance bottlenecks.





Routing & Switching

- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise routing protocols including:

- OSPF

- BGP

- EIGRP

- Static Routing

- Manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching environments.

- Perform network capacity planning and optimization.

Firewall & Security Management

- Administer Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW).

- Manage firewall rules, security policies, and access controls.

- Review and optimize firewall rule bases periodically.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

IPS & DDoS Protection

- Configure and maintain Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS).

- Monitor and respond to security alerts and network threats.

- Manage DDoS mitigation and protection solutions.

- Implement security monitoring and threat prevention controls.

Load Balancing & Application Delivery

- Configure and support F5 Load Balancers and Application Delivery Controllers.

- Monitor load-balancing performance and availability.

- Implement traffic optimization and application acceleration policies.

Network Troubleshooting & Incident Management

- Investigate and resolve network outages and performance issues.

- Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents.

- Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, and vendors for issue resolution.





- Provide L2/L3 support for critical incidents and escalations.

Network Design & Implementation

- Participate in network expansion, migration, and transformation initiatives.

- Implement secure network architecture and technology upgrades.

- Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements.

- Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation.

Governance & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.

- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.

- Participate in vulnerability remediation and security hardening exercises.

- Maintain operational and configuration documentation.
