Role Overview

The Business Data Migration Expert for Finance is responsible for leading business-side data migration activities across deployments in alignment with program timelines and governance standards. Serving as the functional SPoC for Finance data objects, this role oversees data readiness, validation, and sign-offs for General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets, P&L; reporting, Internal Orders, and Project/WBS elements.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the functional SPoC for Finance data migration workstreams across deployment waves and hypercare triage.

- Drive and execute business data cleansing initiatives and establish data readiness metrics.

- Coordinate the timely collection and formatting of manual and construction data objects.

- Partner with IT counterparts to establish, confirm, and maintain legacy-to-target field and value mappings.

- Create, reconcile, and maintain master data lists for all assigned Finance objects.

- Deliver functional accounting insights to technical conversion teams to guide data extraction and transformation.





- Formally review and approve upload files prior to and following execution of ERP data loads.

- Execute data verification scripts, perform manual data entry where automated migration is not feasible, and handle dual maintenance activities.

- Support end-to-end test cycles (mock loads, SIT, UAT) and cutover financial reconciliations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience across global or multi-country ERP deployment programs.

- ERP & Data Migration: Mandatory hands-on SAP project implementation and Finance data migration experience.

- Domain Knowledge: Strong functional expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO) processes, including General Ledger, Assets, AP/AR, WBS/Projects, Cost Centers, and Profit Centers.

- Technical Skills: Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (Microsoft Excel) for financial data analysis, cleansing, and discrepancy identification.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields preferred.

- Soft Skills: Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, structured risk escalation, and fluent English communication skills.
