Purpose of the position

This role connects the ongoing HSE management with data analytics integrating conventional safety practices with data‑driven insights, requiring strong analytical skills to transform HSE data & metrics into measurable actions that enhance workplace health & safety performance

It involves identifying specific actions/ initiatives in all manufacturing plants & projects for overall improvement through data driven approach and action tracking; developing various monthly HSE reports; Corporate HSE MIS; HSE Management Review presentations, HSE Performance and updates to various management forums.

The position requires effective supervision of the HSE operational parameters and collaboration with site teams across all the plants and their active involvement in safety to maintain continuous thrust on enhanced HSE performance.

Job Summary:

Lead the end‑to‑end HSE analytics cycle—collection, validation, trend analysis, and visualization—across all manufacturing plants and projects; monitor trends and deliver dashboards and reports that drive data‑based decisions, strengthen compliance, and translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership and site teams.

Key Accountabilities:

A. HSE MIS & Analytics

- Anchor, Lead, and drive for APAR HSE Performance Standards (PS) across all manufacturing plants & project locations ensuring consistent adoption and uniform implementation with sustained compliance.
- Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting health & safety data that will help improve workplace safety and compliance. Manage multi‑site HSE analytics—trends, dashboards, and reports—to drive data‑driven decisions, uphold compliance.
- Identify critical HSE performance gaps, improvement areas and develop specific action plans and targets delivering measurable improvements in reduction of incident rates (TRIR/LTIFR/ SR), Contractor safety performance, audit compliance etc.



Proactively escalates issues as appropriate for effective resolution at the earliest.
- Drive and collaborate for increasing safety observations and incidents reporting by line function team and improving CAPA closure rates through data‑driven monitoring and governance. Follow up with all the site leads for horizontal deployment of CAPA actions across the business.
- Pursue the implementation of CAPA actions of major accidents through an Action Tracker system. Present updates on monthly review meetings.
- Assist in defining plant HSE KRAs anchored in analytics‑driven metrics and built around measurable indicators (TRIR, LTIFR, near‑miss reporting, CAPA closure timelines, Training coverage, HSE Scores, Contractor Safety etc.) to strengthen accountability and drive continuous performance improvement.
- Release Monthly Group Safety MIS and Dashboards to Management.

B. Digital & innovation

- Champion the shift from manual to fully digital HSE reporting through ETQ application across all manufacturing plants and projects, deploying standardized digital platforms that improve reporting efficiency, transparency, enhance analytics capabilities for real time dashboards.

C. HSE Governance

- Monitoring all Legal / Local Statutory HSE requirements are compiled and updated on regular basis. Keep the key concerned stakeholders informed through compliance tracker.
- Centrally assist in ISO 14001, ISO 45001 compliances are met at all plants; and the sites are all time ready for internal and external audits.
- Monitor HSE audit scores, contractor safety performance etc. across all plant locations.



Drive targeted improvement actions through diagnostic analytics that enhance audit compliance to ≥90%, improve contractor safety scores and reduce audit finding closure time.
- Oversee periodic HSE Management Reviews as per defined cadence and present analytics‑driven dashboards in MRM, ORM etc. that enhance decision‑making for improved performance.

Knowledge (Technical / Functional):

- Legal & statutory EHS requirements/ Environment norms of the local
- Risk Assessment methods.
- HSE Performance Standards (PS) and Indicators
- HSE Audit and Plant Safety inspection norms
- HSE Score Audit methodology and Action Tracker systems etc.
- ISO 45001 & 14001 systems

Skills

- Analytical skills
- Descriptive, Predictive and Diagnostic analytical skills.
- Ability to handle complex data and large information
- Use of Power BI and other MS office analytical tools
- Hands skills on Web and App based HSE reporting digital tools.
