- Dispense medicines accurately against valid prescriptions and medication orders.
- Verify drug name, strength, dosage, quantity, batch number, and expiry before dispensing.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines according to manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, batch details, and fast/slow-moving medicines.
- Follow FIFO principles for inventory movement.
- Identify near-expiry, expired, damaged, and recalled medicines and ensure appropriate segregation.
- Assist in stock verification and reconciliation between physical and system inventory.
Patient Safety & Clinical Coordination
- Clarify prescription-related concerns with the concerned physician when required.
- Provide appropriate medication-use instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure safe medication practices.
- Support medication safety and rational-use initiatives
- Departmental Coordination
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, purchase, stores, billing, and other departments.Qualification & Eligibility
- D.Pharm / B.Pharm from a recognized institution.
- Valid Pharmacy Council Registration – Mandatory.
- 1–3 years of relevant hospital/retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
Skills Required
- Strong attention to detail and medication safety.
- Good knowledge of medicines and prescription interpretation.
- Inventory management and documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Basic computer and pharmacy software knowledge.
- Skilled and patient-friendly approach.
- Assist in identifying stock requirements and communicating replenishment needs to the Pharmacy/Store Incharge.
