Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to work closely with our Product and Mobile Development teams.

This is primarily a backend-focused role. You will build the systems that connect health and fitness hardware, device APIs/SDKs, backend services, databases, and the mobile application.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and comfortable taking ownership of problems in an early-stage product environment.

The ideal candidate has:

- Strong hands-on backend development and architecture experience.
- Experience in HealthTech, FitnessTech, MedTech, WellnessTech, IoT, or connected-device products.
- Experience integrating hardware/device APIs or SDKs with mobile applications, backend systems, or cloud platforms.
- A strong ownership mindset and the ability to independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems.

What You Will Build

Health & Fitness Hardware → Device API / SDK → Backend → Database → Mobile App → User Health Experience

You will own a significant part of the backend and integration layer that makes this ecosystem work reliably.

The platform will bring together data from:

- Body Composition Analyzers (BCA)
- Health and fitness devices
- Wearables
- Health records
- Lab reports
- User-generated health information

Your work will help transform this data into a secure, reliable, and unified digital health experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and build backend architecture, services, APIs, and database layers.
- Design and develop secure and scalable RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs for mobile applications.




- Integrate hardware/device APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and third-party services.
- Receive, validate, transform, normalize, synchronize, and securely store health and device data.
- Handle authentication, authorization, retries, failures, timeouts, duplicate data, and asynchronous workflows.
- Work closely with the Mobile Developer to connect hardware → backend → database → mobile app.
- Debug backend and integration issues across the complete technology stack.
- Participate in technical and architecture decisions as the product evolves.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.
- Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, and performance optimization.
- Identify technical risks and recommend practical solutions for the current MVP while keeping future scalability in mind.

Must-Have Skills

- Strong backend development experience with Node.js/TypeScript, Python, Java, Go, .NET, or a similar modern technology stack.
- Strong understanding of:

○ API Security

○ Scalable Backend Architecture

- Hands-on experience with third-party API and SDK integrations.
- Experience integrating hardware/device APIs or SDKs with mobile applications, backend systems, or cloud platforms.
- Ability to understand unfamiliar API/device documentation and independently work out an integration.
- Solid problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to take ownership of technical challenges rather than simply implementing predefined tasks.

Hardware / Device Experience

Experience with one or more of the following will be highly valuable:

- Body Composition Analyzers (BCA)
- Smart Scales
- Wearables
- Fitness Equipment
- Health Monitoring Devices
- IoT Devices
- Bluetooth / BLE Devices
- Sensor Data
- Device SDKs
- Connected Health Platforms Experience working with device-generated health or fitness data will be a strong advantage





HealthTech Experience

Previous experience in any of the following domains is strongly preferred:

- HealthTech
- FitnessTech
- MedTech
- WellnessTech
- Healthcare Applications
- Connected Health
- Health Data Platforms

You should be comfortable working with sensitive health data and understand the importance of privacy, security, reliability, and data integrity.

Medical expertise is not required.

Cloud, Security & Data

Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is preferred.

Knowledge or hands-on experience with the following will be valuable:

- Docker
- CI/CD
- Monitoring & Logging
- Encryption
- Access Controls
- Secure Data Storage
- Cloud Architecture

Knowledge of India's DPDP framework, HIPAA, GDPR, or HL7/FHIR will be an added advantage.

Nice to Have Experience with any of the following is a plus:

These are not mandatory if you have strong backend development and hardware/device integration experience.
