Job Summary

Genner Industries is looking for a Production Engineering Assistant to support the Production Engineering Department in the manufacturing of hydraulic cylinders and related hydraulic components.

The ideal candidate should have an Engineering Degree with a good understanding of engineering drawings, technical diagrams, manufacturing processes, production documentation, and data analysis.

The position involves supporting the PED team in engineering documentation, drawing interpretation, production process coordination, data analysis, MIS reporting, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

Production Engineering Support

- Assist the Production Engineering team with day-to-day engineering activities.
- Prepare and maintain production engineering documents and records.
- Assist in preparing process sheets, operation sheets, work instructions, and manufacturing documents.
- Support the PED team in improving production processes and workflow.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, and other departments on engineering-related requirements.
- Follow up on engineering and production-related activities.

Engineering Drawings & Technical Documentation

- Read and understand engineering drawings, component drawings, assembly drawings, and technical diagrams.
- Understand dimensions, tolerances, section views, symbols, and basic GD&T; concepts.
- Assist in preparing and updating engineering-related drawings and diagrams.
- Support drawing revision and document-control activities.




- Compare drawings with manufacturing requirements and communicate discrepancies to the concerned team.
- Maintain accurate and updated technical documentation.

Excel & MIS Reporting

- Maintain production databases and records.
- Prepare management reports using MS Excel.
- Use Excel functions, filters, sorting, Pivot Tables, charts, and basic data-analysis tools.
- Consolidate production information from different departments.
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of reports.

Required Qualifications

Education:

- B.E. / B.Tech/Diplamo in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- or a related engineering discipline.

Experience:

- Fresh engineering graduates with strong technical knowledge may also apply.

Required Skills

- Good understanding of Engineering Drawings.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and component drawings.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Basic production data analysis and MIS reporting skills.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valuable documentation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn hydraulic cylinder manufacturing processes.
