Full job description

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) professional educator responsible for teaching the Tamil language and literature to students in the secondary level, typically from Grades 6 to 10.

Key Responsibilities

- Lesson Planning: Develope and implement engaging lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the CBSE or State Board curriculum.
- Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction focusing on Tamil grammar, literature, reading, writing, and communication skills.
- Student Assessment: Conduct regular assessments, grade examinations, and monitor student progress to provide constructive feedback.
- Cultural Promotion: Promote Tamil heritage and culture through creative classroom activities, events, and school programs.
- Classroom Management: Maintain discipline, safety,



and a supportive learning workplace conducive to student growth.
- Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, coordinate with parents regarding student performance, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

Eligibility & Qualifications

- Education: A Master's degree (M.A. in Tamil) with at least 80% marks from a recognized university.
- Professional Training: Mandatory B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree.
- Certifications: Passing the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) is often required for government and many private schools.
- Experience: Many schools prefer candidates with 1–2 years of teaching experience in a similar role.
