Primary School Teacher – Job Description

Role: Primary School Teacher (Classes 1–5, Any Subject)
Location: Victoria Matriculation School, Kanchipuram
Reporting to: Head of School

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned to the curriculum
- Assess student progress through classwork, assignments, and tests; maintain records
- Identify learning gaps and provide remedial support where needed
- Maintain a positive, orderly classroom workplace
- Communicate regularly with parents on student performance and behaviour
- Participate in school events, PTMs, and staff meetings
- Follow school policies on attendance, discipline, and student safety

Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline; B.Ed. preferred
- Basic English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Comfortable using digital tools for teaching and record-keeping

Experience

- Freshers welcome; 1–2 years experience preferred
