Job Responsibilities of P-Way Supervisor at Project Site

- Supervise the construction, laying, alignment, and maintenance of railway track (Permanent Way).
- Ensure proper leveling, gauging, packing, ballast distribution, and track drainage.
- Check quality of sleepers, rails, fastenings, ballast, and welding works as per standards (e.g., IRPWM, RDSO).
- Ensure correct track geometry, alignment, cross-levels, and curvature.
- Supervise workers, contractors, and technicians engaged in track works.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and use of PPEs at site.
- Conduct tool-box talks and safety briefings before starting work.
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and other departments (signaling, OHE, civil) for smooth execution of works.
- Monitor movement of machinery such as tampers, JCBs, track lifting equipment, etc.




- Carry out daily/periodic inspection of track and fittings to identify defects.
- Report deviations, rail fractures, sleeper damage, or ballast deficiencies to higher authorities.
- Supervise rectification/maintenance activities accordingly.
- Maintain daily progress records of track work.
- Prepare inspection reports, measurement books, and quality checklists.
- Report track safety status to project/site in-charge regularly.
- Ensure timely availability of materials like rails, sleepers, ballast, and fittings.
- Prevent material wastage and ensure proper storage/stacking.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
