Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Bath Fittings Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu Department: Sales & Business Development Position: Area Sales Manager (ASM) Employment Type: On Company Payroll Budget: Up to ₹50,000 per month Industry: Bath Fittings / Sanitaryware / Building Materials About the Role We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to manage and expand our business in the Chennai market and surrounding territories. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in bath fittings/sanitaryware sales, excellent market knowledge, and proven expertise in dealer/distributor management, team coordination, market development, and achievement of sales targets. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies for Chennai and assigned surrounding territories. Achieve assigned sales, collection, market development, and business growth targets. Appoint, develop, and maintain solid relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers, and channel partners. Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's distribution network. Manage and strengthen existing dealer and distributor relationships to ensure consistent business. Conduct regular market visits to understand market trends, competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and customer requirements. Develop relationships with plumbers, contractors, architects, builders, and other key influencers. Plan and execute dealer meets, plumber meets, retailer meets, product demonstrations, and promotional activities. Ensure effective brand promotion, product visibility, merchandising, and display across the assigned territory. Guide and coordinate with Sales Executives/field sales team members to improve market coverage and productivity. Monitor daily/weekly sales performance and ensure effective territory coverage. Provide regular sales, market, competitor,



collection, and business development reports to management. Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, dispatch, customer service, and collection-related matters. Handle channel partner issues and ensure timely resolution of market-related concerns. Monitor outstanding payments and support the team in achieving collection targets. Mandatory Requirements Minimum 4–7 years of relevant sales experience, preferably in the Bath Fittings / Sanitaryware industry. Bath fittings industry experience is strongly preferred/mandatory. Strong knowledge of bath fittings products, market dynamics, and channel sales. Proven experience in dealer/distributor development and territory management. Experience in handling or guiding a field sales team will be an added advantage. Good knowledge of the Chennai market and surrounding areas. Knowledge of Tamil is mandatory, along with working knowledge of English/Hindi. Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. Willingness to undertake extensive market travel. Strong target orientation and ability to independently manage the assigned territory.
