Job Title : Seat Design – Product Engineer Experience: 3–12 Years Location: Tokyo / Kanagawa, Japan Job Overview We are looking for experienced Automotive Seating / Seat Design Engineers with robust hands-on experience in CATIA and automotive product design/development. The candidate will be responsible for supporting complete seat design programs and working closely with customer engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and support complete automotive seat design and development activities. Develop and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and technical documentation using CATIA. Work on seat packaging, ergonomics, safety, comfort and manufacturing feasibility. Coordinate with customer engineering, styling and manufacturing teams to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions. Conduct design reviews, identify technical issues and support effective problem-solving. Coordinate and provide technical guidance to offshore design and development teams.



Ensure seat designs meet customer specifications, quality requirements and applicable automotive standards. Support project planning, timelines and milestones to ensure timely delivery. Communicate customer requirements and feedback effectively with internal engineering teams. Support the integration of seat designs with the overall vehicle architecture. Key Requirements BE/ME in Mechanical / Automotive Engineering 3–12 years of relevant experience in Automotive Seating / Seat Design Strong hands-on experience in CATIA Experience in automotive product design/development Good technical and customer communication skills JLPT N3/N2 – Mandatory Willingness to work in Tokyo/Kanagawa, Japan Interested candidates can share their updated CV at
