Seeking a proactive Workday HR Reporting Analyst with 12 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain comprehensive Workday reports and analytics across HR domains.
- Role: Workday HR Reporting Analyst
- Experience: 12 plus years
- Location: Pan India
- Working hours: 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM IST
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Workday reports including Advanced Matrix Composite and Advanced Matrix reports
- Expertise in Workday Report Writer, Workday Core HR, PS Workforce Administration, Workday Recruitment, Workday Security, Workday Talent and Performance, Workday Benefit, and Compensation
- Develop calculated fields and custom reporting solutions addressing complex business needs
- Create dashboards providing actionable workforce insights aligned with global HR standards
- Establish reporting and analytics best practices including SOPs, process flows, and KPIs
- Collaborate with HR leaders and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Monitor Workday release updates and optimize reporting frameworks accordingly
- Promote continuous improvement by automating reporting processes and adopting Workday enhancements
- Work effectively within global cross-functional teams sharing knowledge to build organizational capabilities
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize Workday reports including Advanced Matrix Composite and Advanced Matrix reports
- Configure calculated fields and custom reports to meet complex HR and business requirements
- Manage Workday modules such as Core HR, PS Workforce Administration, Recruitment, Security, Talent and Performance, Advantages,
and Compensation in reporting
- Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions, troubleshoot, and resolve user-reported issues
- Establish and document reporting processes, SOPs, workflows, and governance frameworks
- Define and monitor KPIs related to reporting quality, accuracy, and service delivery
- Partner with HR and business stakeholders for requirements gathering and reporting reviews
- Provide insights and recommendations for data-driven workforce decision-making
- Analyze Workday updates to assess impact and implement necessary reporting changes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including automation and adoption of best practices
- Ensure data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with governance standards
- Lead knowledge sharing and contribute to team capability building
Points to Evaluate
- Need expert player-coach role, for managing a team of reporting analysts as well as independent projects
- The position requires 10 years of Workday experience and 7 years of relevant reporting experience
- Technical competency must be high across reports, dashboards, discovery boards, and calculated fields
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for interacting across multiple country opcos
- Candidates must understand complex organizational setups operating across 39 countries with over 40,000 employees
- People management experience can be compromised slightly, but resource mentoring remains mandatory
- The role requires high ownership, a bias for action, and comfort navigating ambiguity
- Flexibility on total experience years is acceptable for candidates demonstrating exceptional technical value
