We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Workday HCM Integration Consultant to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex integrations between Workday and various third-party systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless data flow and process automation across our HR ecosystem, leveraging your expertise in Workday integration tools and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integration Design & Development:
- Design, build, test, and deploy Workday integrations using various tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio.
- Develop complex custom integrations using Workday Studio for advanced data transformations and real-time data exchange.
- Work with different integration types including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence Management, Talent, and Finance.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
- Collaborate with functional teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to gather and analyze integration requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and viable integration solutions.
- Testing & Deployment:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for integrations, including unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Manage the deployment of integrations through various environments (sandbox, production).
- Support & Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for existing Workday integrations.
- Identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
- Monitor integration performance and implement optimizations as needed.
- Documentation:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for all integrations, including design specifications, test plans, and support procedures.
- Collaboration & Mentorship:
- Work closely with Workday functional consultants, technical teams, and project managers.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge within the integration practice.
- Best Practices & Updates:
- Stay current with Workday releases, new features, and integration best practices.
- Recommend and implement improvements to existing integration architecture and processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- [4+] years of hands-on experience in Workday HCM integration design, development, and deployment.
- Proven expertise with Workday integration tools: EIB (Inbound/Outbound), Core Connectors (Worker, Payroll, Benefits), Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio.
- Robust understanding of Workday Web Services, APIs (SOAP, REST), XSLT, XML, and XPATH.
- Solid grasp of HCM business processes (e.g., Hire to Retire, Payroll, Benefits, Absence).
- Experience with data conversion, data migration, and data validation processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Integration Certification (e.g., Workday Studio, Integration Core).
- Experience with other integration platforms (e.g., middleware like Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica) is a plus.
- Familiarity with security protocols (e.g., SFTP, PGP encryption).
- Experience working in a global, multi-country Workday implementation environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
