Role Overview

We are looking for a WMS Techno-Functional Consultant with solid experience in Warehouse Management Systems and the ability to work across both functional and technical areas.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding WMS business processes, analyzing system behavior, troubleshooting functional/technical issues and working with development and support teams to deliver enhancements and solutions. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with WMS / Warehouse Management applications - Oracle would be preferred and be comfortable reading and analyzing PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Oracle Forms and Java code.

Key Responsibilities

1. WMS Functional Responsibilities

- Understand and support core Warehouse Management processes
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into system functionality.
- Understand WMS configuration and its impact on warehouse operations.
- Participate in requirement gathering, functional analysis and solution design.
- Support SIT/UAT and production implementation activities.
- Perform root-cause analysis for functional and technical issues.

2. Technical Responsibilities

- Read, understand and analyze Oracle PL/SQL code.
- Ability to read and understand:
- Stored Procedures
- Functions
- Packages
- Triggers
- Cursors
- SQL queries
- Analyze existing code to understand AS-IS system behavior and business logic.
- Understand Oracle Forms and Forms-based applications.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of Java and ability to trace Java-based application flows.
- Oracle ADF working experience is added advantage.
- Analyze database tables, relationships and data flow to troubleshoot issues.
- Work with developers to explain functional requirements and technical findings.

Technical Flow / Reverse Engineering The candidate should be comfortable analyzing an existing application without relying entirely on existing documentation.

Responsibilities include

- Trace functionality from Oracle Forms/UI to PL/SQL procedures and database tables.
- Document existing system behavior and technical flows.
- Prepare Low-Level Design / Technical Flow documents.
- Identify dependencies between different WMS modules and database objects.
- Explain complex technical flows to both technical and functional stakeholders.

4. Documentation Create and maintain:

- Functional specifications
- Technical flow documents
- Low-Level Design documents
- Process flows

Required Technical Skills - Mandatory

- Strong WMS functional knowledge.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes.
- Strong Oracle SQL / PL/SQL knowledge.
- Ability to read and understand Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages and Triggers.
- Experience working with Oracle Forms or similar legacy Oracle applications.
- Good database troubleshooting skills.
