1. Job Purpose

To perform welding and fabrication activities as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and production requirements while ensuring safe and efficient completion of assigned work.
1. Key Responsibilities

- Perform welding activities using MIG, TIG, ARC/Stick welding and other applicable welding processes.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and dimensions.
- Carry out welding of MS, SS and other applicable materials as per job requirements.
- Perform cutting, grinding, fit-up, tack welding, and finishing activities as required.
- Ensure proper alignment, dimensions, weld size, and weld quality as per drawings/specifications.
- Inspect welded joints visually for cracks, porosity, undercut, distortion, and other defects.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.
- Select appropriate welding electrodes, wires, gases, current, voltage, and welding parameters.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness at the workplace.
- Follow production schedules and complete assigned jobs within the required time.
- Coordinate with Fitters, Fabricators, Supervisors, and Quality personnel for smooth completion of work.
- Report defective material, machine issues, or quality problems to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of welding electrodes, consumables, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety rules and use mandatory PPE such as welding helmet, safety shoes, gloves, apron, and safety goggles.
- Maintain welding machines and tools in proper working condition.
- Follow company quality, safety, and disciplinary procedures.
- Perform any other fabrication/welding-related duties assigned by the reporting manager.

1. Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.




- Ability to read basic fabrication/engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding symbols and measurements.
- Ability to operate welding machines and related tools.
- Knowledge of MS/SS fabrication work.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and PPE requirements.
- Ability to identify common welding defects and perform necessary corrections.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

1. Educational Qualification

- ITI – Welder preferred.
- Candidates with relevant welding/fabrication experience may also be considered.

1. Experience

- 1–5 years of relevant experience in welding/fabrication & Fresher Can Apply
- Fresh ITI candidates with good practical welding skills may also be considered.

1. Safety & Compliance

The employee must strictly comply with company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, safe handling of welding equipment and gas cylinders, fire-prevention practices, and hot-work safety requirements.
