Role & responsibilities The Electrical Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of all electrical systems and equipment within the hospital premises. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply, compliance with healthcare safety standards, preventive maintenance execution, and efficient management of electrical infrastructure to support continuous patient care services.

Preferred candidate profile

Electrical Systems Management

- Ensure smooth functioning of all hospital electrical systems including HT/LT panels, transformers, generators, UPS systems, and electrical distribution networks.

- Monitor uninterrupted power supply for critical hospital areas such as ICU, OT, Cath Lab, and Emergency departments.

- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Preventive &

- Breakdown Maintenance

- Plan and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all electrical equipment.

- Attend and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly to minimize operational disruption.

- Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and service records.

Power Backup &

- Energy Management

- Manage DG sets, UPS systems, batteries, and emergency lighting systems.

- Monitor power consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.

- Coordinate with electricity board and external vendors for power-related issues.

Safety &

- Compliance

- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, hospital regulations, and statutory requirements.

- Conduct periodic safety audits and electrical inspections.

- Ensure proper earthing, fire safety systems,



and emergency response readiness.

Team Management

- Supervise electricians, technicians, and maintenance staff.

- Assign daily work schedules and monitor staff performance.

- Train team members on safety procedures and equipment handling.

Vendor &

- AMC Coordination

- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC).

- Monitor vendor performance and ensure timely completion of services.

- Verify service reports, invoices, and maintenance documentation.

Documentation &

- Reporting

- Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and utility consumption reports.

- Maintain inventory of electrical spare parts and consumables.

- Support accreditation requirements such as NABH, JCI, and statutory audits.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Electrical Supervisor License preferred.

- Additional certification in safety or facility management is an added advantage.

Experience

- 8–10 years of experience in electrical maintenance.

- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

- Experience in hospital or healthcare facility maintenance preferred.

- C licence Holder

Required Skills

- Knowledge of hospital electrical systems and critical care power management.

- Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Familiarity with DG sets, UPS, HVAC electrical controls, and BMS systems.

- Leadership and team management abilities.

- Good communication and reporting skills.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
