About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Virtual Set Operator to manage real-time virtual production environments for live broadcasts, shoots, and studio productions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with real-time engines such as Unreal Engine, Vizrt, or similar virtual set systems, along with strong technical and creative problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and manage virtual sets during live shoots, recorded sessions, and rehearsals.
- Set up and configure real-time graphics engines (Unreal, Vizrt, etc.).
- Integrate camera tracking systems (Mo-Sys, Stype, NCAM or similar) with virtual environments.
- Collaborate with directors, broadcast engineers, DOPs, and production teams to ensure smooth on-set operations.
- Load, test, and troubleshoot virtual environments before and during production.
- Manage lighting, reflections, chroma key, and real-time compositing parameters.




- Ensure color accuracy and match-moving between real and virtual elements.
- Optimize performance of virtual scenes for latency, stability, and rendering quality.
- Maintain software, hardware, and tracking systems used in the virtual production workflow.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with Unreal Engine, Vizrt, or similar software.
- Understanding of real-time rendering, virtual production pipelines, and camera tracking systems.
- Knowledge of chroma keying, studio lighting, and broadcast standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues under time-sensitive, live-production conditions.
- Familiarity with 3D assets, optimization, textures, and FBX workflows.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in virtual production, broadcast graphics, VFX, or real-time engine operations.

Preferred (Valuable to Have)

Basic understanding of Blueprints (Unreal Engine) or scripting.

Knowledge of motion capture integration or LED wall workflows.

Background in animation, VFX, or broadcast engineering.

Education

Degree/diploma in Animation, VFX, Gaming, Broadcast Engineering, Media Production, or a related field (optional but preferred).
