Role Overview

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor specializing in short-form video content to join our full-time, on-site team in Thiruvananthapuram.

In this role, you will be responsible for assembling raw footage into polished, dynamic videos designed to grab attention on modern digital platforms. You will work on cutting, sequencing, adding transitions, syncing audio, color grading, sound design, and integrating graphics. You will collaborate closely with content creators, marketers, and designers to translate creative briefs into compelling visual narratives that align with brand guidelines and drive engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Post-Production Execution: Assemble raw footage into high-quality, high-retention short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikToks, ad creatives, and digital video assets).
- Pacing & Assembly: Perform cutting, precise sequencing, seamless transitions, and audio syncing optimized for short-form content formats.
- Color & Audio Enhancement: Execute professional color grading to maintain visual consistency across projects, along with sound leveling, noise reduction, and sound design.
- Multi-Platform Optimization: Format, crop, and export videos across various aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), codecs, and platform-specific guidelines for maximum engagement.




- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with content creators, marketers, and graphic designers to turn creative concepts and briefs into impactful final cuts while incorporating team feedback.
- Workflow & Asset Management: Maintain organized project files, media libraries, and digital asset repositories to ensure seamless workflow execution under tight deadlines.
- Creative Input: Stay updated on current social media trends, popular audio hooks, visual aesthetics, and emerging post-production techniques to constantly elevate video quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Proven experience in video editing and video production, with a portfolio showcasing end-to-end post-production workflows (with a heavy emphasis on short-form digital content).
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Color & Motion: Strong skills in color grading and the ability to integrate motion graphics/animations smoothly into fast-paced edits.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of frame rates, video codecs, aspect ratios, bitrates, and platform-specific export settings.
- Soft Skills: Strong time management, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a cooperative mindset and openness to constructive feedback.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Film, Media Studies, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical/portfolio experience).
