Role Description iLEAD Kolkata is looking for a full-time Social Media Video Editor who understands how to edit for attention, retention, and platform-native storytelling.

This role is for someone who is creatively sharp, visually curious, and technically strong, with a strong instinct for Instagram Reels, Facebook content, short-form videos, digital promos, event content, and campaign-driven social edits.

We are looking for someone who does more than just “follow the brief.”

The ideal candidate should be able to take raw footage, understand the intent, and build a strong fine cut using their own creative judgement. Someone who knows when to cut faster, when to hold a moment, when motion graphics will elevate an edit, and when they will simply get in the way.

A strong understanding of Instagram-native editing, current trends, pacing, hooks, transitions, motion graphics, sound design, and visual retention is essential.

The editor should be confident using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut, and should also have a working understanding of AI tools that can support editing, ideation, enhancement, clean-up, subtitles, and workflow efficiency.

And yes, creativity matters.

But so does accountability.

We are looking for someone who can experiment, think independently, and still deliver quality work on time.

Key Responsibilities





- Edit high-quality social media reels and short-form videos for digital platforms
- Work on content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, campaigns, events, and promotional communication
- Create edits that feel current, platform-native, visually engaging, and brand relevant
- Use Premiere Pro, After Effects, and CapCut effectively based on project requirements
- Add motion graphics, text animation, transitions, sound design, and finishing polish where required
- Understand social media behaviour and edit with a strong focus on hook, pacing, retention, and visual engagement
- Keep track of current editing trends, Reel formats, visual styles, and internet culture
- Take ownership of edits and build strong fine cuts without requiring step-by-step direction for every decision
- Collaborate with the creative and marketing team to execute content in line with brand and campaign needs
- Use relevant AI tools to improve editing workflows, enhancement, clean-up, subtitles, ideation, and productivity
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, consistency, and turnaround timelines
