About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Node.js Backend Engineer who is strong in backend development and has a good understanding of software architecture and system design. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with building scalable, reliable backend systems and should be comfortable making architectural decisions, designing APIs, working with databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Participate in architecture and system design discussions and contribute to technical decisions.
- Design solutions keeping scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability in mind.
- Work with databases, caching, queues, and other backend infrastructure as required.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve application efficiency.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
- Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and security practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective long-term solutions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving the overall engineering quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 4 years of qualified experience in backend development.




- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, API design, authentication, authorization, and backend architecture.
- Good understanding of System Design / HLD and LLD concepts.
- Experience designing and building scalable and high-performance backend services.
- Good knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Understanding of Redis/caching, message queues, asynchronous processing, and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with Git and standard software development practices.
- Good understanding of debugging, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.

Good to Have:

- Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and CI/CD.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.
- Knowledge of observability tools, monitoring, and distributed systems.
- Experience owning backend modules/services end-to-end.
