Position Overview

This is a hands-on individual contributor role owning end-to-end product design — from problem framing and user flows through to high-fidelity UI and developer handoff. You'll be the design presence in Gurugram, embedded with local PMs and engineers, and reporting to the Senior Designer in the US. The work spans a complex, multi-tenant platform used by dentists, front-desk staff, and office managers who need to complete tasks in seconds under real-time pressure.

Role & Responsibilities

- Translate product requirements and user problems into flows, information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma — covering web, responsive web, mobile, and kiosk surfaces including empty, loading, error, and permission states
- Prototype interactions to validate and communicate intent before engineering begins; redesign and incrementally improve existing screens as a core part of the workload
- Talk to internal stakeholders (CX, support, sales) and end users to understand workflows before designing them; run lightweight usability tests and use findings to change designs, not justify them
- Use product analytics and support tickets as active inputs to design decisions
- Work within and contribute to the design system — components, patterns, tokens — and produce explicit handoff specs covering states, responsive behaviour, edge cases, and interaction details




- Review built implementations against designs and close gaps directly with engineering; apply accessibility fundamentals including contrast, hierarchy, keyboard navigation, and touch targets
- Partner with Product Management from problem statement onward, surface edge cases early, and present design decisions with clear reasoning to distributed US and India teams

Must Have Criteria

- 2+ years of core UX design experience at an internet or software product company (B2B/B2C SaaS, consumer internet, or product-led platform)
- Portfolio with 2–3 case studies showing the problem, process, decisions made, and shipped outcome — applications without a portfolio will not be considered
- Strong command of Figma — components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and shared libraries
- Demonstrated ability to design data-dense screens: tables, dashboards, filters, and settings
- Experience designing within an existing design system rather than inventing per screen
- Ability to communicate design decisions clearly in written and verbal English to US-based stakeholders
- Willingness to work in-office in Gurugram with overlap into US hours (until 9–11 PM IST) as needed

Nice to Have

- Formal design education — B.Des / M.Des in Interaction, Communication, or Product Design, or HCI
- B2B SaaS or multi-tenant product experience; healthcare, fintech, or other regulated-domain products
- Experience with conversational or voice interface design
- Contributed to building or maintaining a design system
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS sufficient to assess implementation cost; exposure to AI-assisted design tooling
