Role Description The US Payroll Accountant is a full-time remote role responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes for US-based employees. This position includes preparing, reviewing, and processing payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role involves maintaining payroll records, reconciling payroll accounts, and coordinating with HR and finance teams on employment contracts, benefits, deductions, and adjustments. The US Payroll Accountant will handle payroll tax calculations and filings, generate payroll reports for management, and support audits and compliance reviews. This role also contributes to continuous improvement of payroll procedures and systems, helping ensure efficient and compliant payroll operations.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Payroll Management and Payroll Services for US-based employees.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and payroll platforms commonly used in US payroll processing.




- Strong knowledge of Payroll Taxes, including federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Experience working with Employment Contracts, compensation structures, and related HR documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP basics as they relate to payroll, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret payroll data and reports.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate with remote and cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in the energy sector or with multinational organizations is beneficial but not required.
