Assistant Manager / Manager – Underwriting

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess and analys insurance proposals and risk profiles.

- Review client requirements, claims history and risk-related documents.

- Obtain and compare quotations from various insurance companies.

- Negotiate premiums, coverage, deductibles and policy terms with insurers.

- Review policy wordings, exclusions and coverage conditions.

- Coordinate with insurance companies for quotations, approvals and policy issuance.

- Provide underwriting support and technical inputs to the Sales team.

- Handle new business and renewal underwriting requirements.

- Identify underwriting risks, discrepancies and coverage gaps.

- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Claims and Finance teams.

- Maintain accurate underwriting records and prepare MIS reports.





- Ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines, internal processes and regulatory requirements.

Qualification & Experience:

- Graduate in any discipline; insurance qualification preferred.

- 4–6 years experience for Assistant Manager / 6–10 years for Manager in General Insurance Underwriting.

- Experience with an insurance company or insurance broker preferred.

- Robust analytical, negotiation, communication and insurer coordination skills.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
