Job Highlights:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting & Taxation Specialist with strong expertise in UK GAAP to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and taxation while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

:

- Manage and review the General Ledger in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102/FRS 105) and applicable European GAAP frameworks.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including journals, invoices, receipts, payments, AP and AR.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and account reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor/customer accounts, intercompany balances, and control accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L;, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
- Prepare and support UK VAT returns, MTD compliance, Corporation Tax, and applicable European VAT/GST filings.
- Maintain tax records, reconcile tax liabilities, and support HMRC and European tax authority requirements, including audits and assessments.




- Support statutory accounts, external audits, transfer pricing, Intrastat, and other regulatory reporting as applicable.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, internal controls, company policies, and accurate financial documentation.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency across accounting and taxation functions. International accounting and taxation exposure will be an added advantage.

Competencies / Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; skilled qualification preferred (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / CTA or equivalent)
- Minimum [3–5] years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, with direct exposure to UK GAAP
- Working knowledge of European tax and compliance requirements (VAT, Intrastat, statutory filing norms across at least one other EU jurisdiction)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, SAP)
- Strong understanding of FRS 102/FRS 105 reporting standards
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
