Role Description The UI/UX Design Intern (Unpaid) will support the design team in creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces for Small Fare® and its portfolio brands. This internship role is remote and involves assisting with wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile experiences. The intern will help refine user flows, contribute to visual design elements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into clear user journeys.





Day-to-day tasks include conducting basic user experience research, organizing design assets, preparing design documentation, and iterating on feedback from mentors and stakeholders. This is an internship position intended to provide hands-on experience in UI/UX design within a fast-paced, digital-first environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in User Experience Design (UED), including understanding of user flows, information architecture, and usability principles.
- Ability to create clear mockups and visual design assets that align with brand guidelines and support intuitive user interfaces.
- Experience or coursework in prototyping using common design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) to build interactive concepts and test design ideas.
- Basic knowledge of front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and understand implementation constraints.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to take feedback constructively, and willingness to learn in a collaborative, remote setting.
- Good communication skills, time management, and the ability to work independently across different time zones.
