Position: Transport Incharge

Job Summary The Transport Incharge is responsible for managing and supervising the school transportation system to ensure the safe, punctual, and smooth movement of students and staff. The role includes route planning, vehicle maintenance coordination, staff supervision, safety compliance, and handling transport-related concerns efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage daily school transport operations including bus routes, schedules, and vehicle allocation.
- Ensure safe and timely pick-up and drop-off of students and staff.
- Supervise drivers, conductors, and transport staff to maintain discipline and punctuality.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems, CCTV, and other safety equipment in buses.
- Ensure all school vehicles comply with RTO rules, permits, insurance, fitness certificates, and pollution norms.
- Coordinate regular servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles.
- Maintain records of fuel consumption, maintenance logs, driver attendance, and transport documentation.
- Handle transport-related complaints and queries from parents and staff.




- Conduct regular safety checks and emergency drills for transport staff.
- Manage transport arrangements for school events, trips, examinations, and extracurricular activities.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards inside all buses.
- Coordinate with school administration for route changes and operational improvements.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in transport or fleet management, preferably in a school/institution.
- Valuable knowledge of transport regulations, safety norms, and vehicle documentation.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, transport records, GPS monitoring).
- Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.
