About the Role
Kingston Educational Institute (KEI) is seeking a dynamic, proactive, and result-oriented Training & Placement Officer to support and strengthen the activities of the Training & Placement and Corporate Relations Cell.
The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating student training programs, internships, campus recruitment drives, employer interactions, career development initiatives, and placement-related activities across various academic departments. The role requires strong communication, coordination, networking, documentation, and follow-up skills, along with the ability to work closely with students, faculty members, management, and corporate recruiters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training & Student Development
- Coordinate and support training programs designed to improve students' employability and industry readiness.
- Organize aptitude training, soft-skills training, communication skills, interview preparation, group discussions, and other career development programs.
- Coordinate workshops, seminars, guest lectures, industry sessions, career counselling programs, and pre-placement talks.
- Identify students' training requirements in coordination with academic departments.
- Maintain records of student participation, attendance, performance, and training outcomes.
2. Placement & Recruitment Coordination
- Coordinate campus recruitment drives from initial communication with recruiters through completion of the recruitment process.
- Assist in identifying and inviting companies for campus placement and internship opportunities.
- Coordinate student registration, eligibility verification, shortlisting, and communication with candidates.
- Schedule aptitude tests, group discussions, technical rounds, HR interviews, and other recruitment activities.
- Ensure timely communication of recruitment schedules, instructions, and requirements to students and concerned departments.
- Support recruiters during campus visits and ensure smooth execution of placement activities.
3. Corporate & Employer Relations
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with HR professionals, recruiters, corporate organizations, and industry representatives.
- Assist in identifying new companies and industry partners for placements, internships, training, and institutional collaborations.
- Maintain an updated database of recruiters, corporate contacts, placement partners, and industry organizations.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with recruiters regarding placement opportunities and recruitment requirements.
- Assist in coordinating corporate meetings, industry visits, MoUs,
and other institutional-industry engagement activities.
4. Internship Coordination
- Coordinate internship opportunities for students with suitable organizations.
- Communicate internship requirements and opportunities to students and academic departments.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining internship-related documents and records.
- Track student internship status, joining, completion, and feedback.
- Maintain an updated internship database and submit periodic reports to the concerned authority.
5. Student Coordination & Support
- Guide students regarding placement registration, eligibility criteria, recruitment procedures, interview schedules, and required documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with students regarding placement and training activities.
- Assist students in preparing resumes/CVs and other placement-related documents.
- Coordinate student participation in off-campus and on-campus recruitment activities.
- Address routine student queries related to training, internships, and placements and escalate matters where required.
6. MIS, Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of student profiles, placement status, internship details, recruiter information, and training activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and event-wise reports as required by the Management.
- Maintain placement and training MIS in Excel/Google Sheets or other institutional systems.
- Track placement targets, recruitment drives, student participation, selections, offers, internships, and joining status.
- Ensure proper documentation of all Training & Placement activities.
7. Coordination with Academic Departments
- Work closely with Principals, HODs, faculty members, and academic coordinators to identify placement and training requirements.
- Coordinate department-wise student data and placement eligibility information.
- Ensure participation of students from different departments in relevant training and placement initiatives.
- Support academic departments in improving student placement readiness.
8. Event & Activity Management
- Assist in planning and executing placement drives, job fairs, career fairs, industry interactions, seminars, workshops, and recruitment events.
- Coordinate venue, seating, registration, student attendance, recruiter requirements, and other logistical arrangements.
- Ensure smooth communication and coordination among recruiters, students, faculty members, and administrative teams.
9. External Visits & Field Coordination
- Visit corporate offices,
companies, training organizations, and industry partners as required.
- Assist in corporate meetings, business development activities, industry visits, and placement-related institutional collaborations.
- Willingness to travel within and outside Kolkata/West Bengal for placement and corporate relations activities, as required.
10. Additional Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Training & Placement Officer / Head of the Department in achieving institutional placement and training objectives.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time in connection with Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, Student Development, or Institutional Activities.
Eligibility & Qualification
Essential Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
- Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations,
Preferred Qualification
- Master's Degree in Management, HR, Business Administration, Education, or a relevant discipline.
- Prior experience in an educational institution, university, college, training organization will be preferred.
Essential Skills
