Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tool & Mould Design Engineer role located in the Pune Division. The individual in this role will design and develop plastic injection molds and related tooling, using CAD software and established engineering standards to meet project specifications and quality requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and reviewing 3D models and 2D drawings, optimizing mold designs for manufacturability and cost, and collaborating with production, quality, and project teams to ensure smooth tool trials and approvals.

The engineer will analyze part designs for feasibility, recommend design improvements,



support troubleshooting of tooling issues on the shop floor, and participate in continuous improvement activities focused on efficiency, precision, and sustainability. The role also involves maintaining documentation, adhering to safety and quality guidelines, and supporting both domestic and export projects.

Qualifications

- Strong tooling and mould design skills, including Tooling Design and Product Design for plastic injection components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, preferably 3D CAD/CAM software used for mold and tool engineering.
- Solid understanding of Injection Molding processes, mold construction, and manufacturing workflows.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, tolerance stacks, and GD&T;, with attention to precision and detail.
- Experience working with tool rooms, suppliers, and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to troubleshoot tooling and production issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate on-site with diverse teams in Pune Division.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, cost optimization, and basic project coordination is an advantage.
- Knowledge of environmentally conscious manufacturing practices and willingness to support continuous improvement initiatives.
