Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Textile Designer – Home Furnishing based in Mumbai.

The Textile

Designer will develop original and trend-aligned designs for home furnishing products such as table linens, bedding, cushions, throws, and seasonal accessories. Daily responsibilities include creating textile prints and graphics, preparing design layouts and repeats, selecting appropriate fabrics and materials, and coordinating embroidery and surface embellishments.



The role involves collaborating with merchandising, sampling, and production teams to translate client briefs into commercially viable collections, ensuring design feasibility and alignment with cost and quality requirements.

The Textile

Designer will also conduct market and trend research, prepare presentation boards, support client presentations, and ensure that all designs meet brand guidelines, sustainability considerations, and global quality standards.

Qualifications

- Strong design capabilities in Textile Prints and Textiles, with experience in home furnishings.
- Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design, including digital tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Hands-on skills in Embroidery and related embellishment techniques for surface design.
- Ability to conduct trend research, develop concepts, and translate them into cohesive collections.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Experience working with export-oriented or global retail clients is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, color sense, and understanding of fabric behavior and print processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams on-site.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain design documentation.
