Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Testing and Commissioning Engineer role based in Chennai. The role involves planning and executing electrical testing and commissioning activities for power generation plants and substations, ensuring systems meet design, safety, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and specialized electrical tests, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, coordinating with project and site teams, and preparing test reports and documentation.

The engineer will support commissioning schedules, participate in inspections and quality checks, and assist in resolving technical problems during installation and start-up.



The role also requires adherence to safety practices, compliance procedures, and continuous collaboration with senior engineers and clients.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Testing and Testing methodologies for power systems and related equipment.
- Candidates should possess practical experience as Commissioning Engineers, with exposure to power plants or substation commissioning.
- Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting and fault diagnostics for electrical systems and controls.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, including understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of safety standards, electrical codes, and industry practices in power infrastructure projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
- Robust communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work in field conditions, travel to project locations as required, and adapt to project schedules.
