Technology Excellence Advisors will support a broad range of Technology Excellence initiatives focused on improving the quality, resilience, compliance, recoverability, operational readiness, and governance of the technology estate.

The roles will work with system owners, Technical SPOCs, engineering teams, product teams, infrastructure teams, service owners, platform teams, and programme stakeholders to assess current state, identify gaps, validate evidence, support remediation planning, maintain accurate trackers, and drive progress against agreed standards.

Initiatives may include Cyber[DI1.1] resilience, server hardening, Out of Support remediation, asset tagging, validation, reporting, tracker refresh, dependency mapping, operational readiness, technical governance, and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities All Technology Excellence Advisors

- Support Technology Excellence initiatives across resilience, recoverability, infrastructure compliance, server hardening, OOS remediation, tagging, validation, reporting, and governance.
- Facilitate structured workshops with TSPOCs, engineers, architects, product teams, service owners, and infrastructure teams.
- Facilitate a[DI2.1]nd validate system, service, and asset information, including ownership, criticality, hosting model, dependencies, support model, risks, blockers, and compliance status.
- Map and validate business and technical dependencies across systems, services, platforms, repositories, infrastructure, APIs, databases, middleware, and third-party services.
- Validate evidence for readiness, compliance, recoverability, server hardening, operational maturity, tagging, and remediation activity.
- Support asset tagging activities, including server tagging, repository tagging, bulk tagging guidance, tagging standards, and analysis of newly created or non-compliant assets.
- Support Out of Support / End of Support remediation by capturing remediation plans, dates, approaches, target OS/platform,



completion status, and exemption evidence.
- Challenge incomplete information, weak remediation plans, unsupported exemptions, unclear ownership, or remediation dates that extend beyond end-of-support timelines.
- Support reporting and monthly tracker refresh activity, including ownership updates, validation status, programme progress, WL3/WL4 breakdowns, dashboards, and data quality checks.
- Maintain Confluence / knowledge management content, including FAQs, validation pages, tagging guidance, tracker refresh guidance, failed scenarios, lessons learned, and handover notes.
- Support continuity and handover by documenting current TSPOC engagements, key contacts, open actions, blockers, risks, next steps, and process guidance.

Required Skills — All Technology Excellence Advisors

Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

- Technical programme delivery, technology governance, technical assurance, engineering excellence, operational excellence, service readiness, resilience, disaster recovery, infrastructure compliance, or application / infrastructure support.
- Valuable understanding of application architecture, infrastructure, cloud / on-prem hosting, APIs, databases, middleware, repositories, monitoring, backup / restore, service ownership, and operational support models.
- Understanding of server hardening, OS lifecycle management, server decommissioning, and Windows / Linux upgrades; AIX experience is desirable.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to facilitate technical workshops, ask probing questions, validate evidence, document findings, and drive actions to closure.
- Strong data analysis capability, including Excel pivots, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, dataset comparison, deduplication, tracker reconciliation, and reporting support.
- Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Splunk, Databricks, Metabase, TTAS, or similar reporting / tracking platforms is desirable.
