Technical Architect - Open source & Gen AI

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Architect with deep expertise across the open-source technology stack - Node.js and Python on the backend, and cloud-native design across AWS, Azure, or GCP. The ideal candidate combines solid fundamentals in distributed systems and application architecture with current, practical experience in Generative AI technologies, and is comfortable engaging directly with clients on solution design, technical governance, and delivery oversight.

Responsibilities

- Own end-to-end solution architecture for client engagements - from requirement analysis and technical proposals through design, build, and production support.
- Define and enforce architecture standards and best practices across engineering teams. - Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures on atleast one of AWS/Azure/GCP - Architect backend systems using Node.js and Python, including API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and database strategy (SQL/NoSQL).
- Evaluate, prototype, and integrate GenAI capabilities (LLM-based features, agentic workflows, prompt/context engineering) into client solutions. - Lead technical discovery and solutioning during pre-sales - proposals, estimation, and technical narratives for RFPs/RFIs. - Conduct architecture reviews, technical audits, and performance/security assessments for existing systems.




- Mentor tech leads and developers on architectural decisions and emerging technology adoption.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, delivery managers, and cross-functional teams to align technical direction with business goals.
- Own non-functional requirements - scalability, availability, observability, security, and cost governance.

Required Skills

- Backend: Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Python; solid grasp of REST/GraphQL API design, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
- Cloud: Practical architecture and hands-on experience in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP (multi-cloud exposure a plus); IaC tools such as Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines. -Data: Experience with both relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis) databases; data modeling for scale.
- GenAI/AI: Working knowledge of LLM ecosystems (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models), vector databases (Pinecone, pgvector), prompt engineering, agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar), and awareness of GenAI cost/latency/safety trade-offs.
- Architecture Patterns: Microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, API gateways, message queues
