About the Opportunity
HummingBird is hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead on behalf of its Fortune 500 client , with offices in Chennai and Madurai .
The Talent Acquisition Lead will be responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities, developing effective sourcing strategies, partnering with business stakeholders, and ensuring timely closure of critical positions. The role requires strong stakeholder management, sourcing expertise, candidate engagement, and the ability to manage recruitment priorities in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with business and workforce requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to understand current and future hiring needs.
- Develop sourcing plans for critical, niche, and high-volume positions.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for recurring and strategic requirements.
- Support workforce planning and recruitment forecasting.
End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from requirement understanding through offer and onboarding.
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, employee referrals, professional networks, and other channels.
- Screen and evaluate candidates based on technical, functional, and behavioral requirements.
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and business stakeholders.
- Manage offer discussions, negotiations, documentation, and candidate closures.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a strategic recruitment partner to hiring managers and business leaders.
- Conduct regular discussions with stakeholders to understand recruitment priorities and challenges.
- Provide updates on recruitment progress, pipeline quality, and hiring timelines.
- Advise hiring managers on market availability, sourcing channels, and candidate expectations.
- Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of recruitment-related issues.
Sourcing & Employer Branding
- Develop innovative sourcing approaches to attract high-quality candidates.
- Build talent communities and maintain relationships with passive candidates.
- Support employer branding initiatives across relevant digital and professional platforms.
- Explore new recruitment channels and technologies to improve sourcing efficiency.
- Strengthen the organization's talent pipeline for future hiring needs.
Recruitment Operations & Analytics
- Track recruitment metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer-to-join ratio, and pipeline conversion.
- Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment information in the ATS.
- Prepare recruitment dashboards and periodic reports for management.
- Identify bottlenecks in the recruitment process and implement improvements.
- Ensure adherence to recruitment policies, processes, and compliance requirements.
Team & Process Management
- Guide and mentor recruiters or junior talent acquisition professionals, where applicable.
- Allocate recruitment requirements based on priorities and recruiter capabilities.
- Monitor individual and team recruitment performance.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement across recruitment processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources will be preferred.
- 4–8 years of experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment.
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment for multiple functions or business units.
- Strong experience in candidate sourcing, screening, stakeholder management, and offer closure.
- Experience working with ATS and recruitment technologies.
- Strong understanding of recruitment metrics and talent market trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
