Position: Supervisor – Marine & Ship Repair

About the Role

TRIDOCKS Marine & Industrial Service is looking for an experienced and responsible Supervisor to manage and coordinate marine and ship repair activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of mechanical ship repair works, strong team supervision skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and the company management.

Experience with Cochin Shipyard-related works will be an advantage. Overseas experience in the ship repair industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily marine and ship repair activities.
- Lead and manage technicians, workers, and site teams to ensure smooth execution of assigned jobs.
- Plan daily work activities, manpower allocation, tools, and material requirements.
- Monitor work progress and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and as per client requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with clients regarding job requirements, work progress, inspections, and related matters.
- Attend current work/site inspections and understand the scope of work.
- Prepare preliminary manpower, material, tools, and work requirement estimates for new jobs.
- Identify work-related requirements and coordinate with the company for necessary arrangements.
- Ensure proper communication between the worksite, team members, clients, and management.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily work and progress reports to the company.
- Monitor quality, safety,



productivity, and timely completion of assigned works.
- Identify worksite issues and coordinate with management for appropriate solutions.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Support the company in planning and executing new marine and industrial projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in team supervision, preferably in marine or ship repair operations.
- Good practical knowledge of mechanical ship repair and maintenance works.
- Experience in supervising technicians and skilled workers.
- Ability to understand job requirements, plan manpower, and coordinate work activities.
- Good communication and client coordination skills.
- Ability to prepare daily reports and basic work/material estimates.
- Knowledge of shipyard working procedures and safety requirements.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple work activities.

Preferred Experience
- Experience with Cochin Shipyard / shipyard-related projects will be an advantage.
- Overseas ship repair experience will be an added advantage.
- Experience in marine mechanical maintenance, ship repair, fabrication, or related industrial works is preferred.
