About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and student-focused Student Counsellor to join our team.

The successful candidate will guide prospective students through their study-abroad options, assess their academic and career background, recommend suitable programmes and institutions, and support them throughout the admission process.

Experience in New Zealand education counselling is preferred; however, it is not mandatory. Candidates with strong experience counselling students for other international study destinations are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel students and parents about international study opportunities.
- Assess students’ academic qualifications, work experience, English-language results, financial circumstances and career goals.
- Recommend suitable countries, institutions and programmes based on each student’s profile.
- Provide accurate information about entry requirements, tuition fees, scholarships, intakes and study pathways.
- Explain the general student visa process without providing immigration advice outside the authorised scope.




- Follow up with prospective students through telephone calls, WhatsApp, email and face-to-face meetings.
- Convert genuine enquiries into student applications and enrolments.
- Assist students in preparing and submitting complete admission applications.
- Coordinate with the admissions and processing teams to track applications, offers, fee payments and visa-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate student records, follow-up notes and application updates in the CRM system.
- Communicate professionally with educational institutions, internal teams, students and parents.
- Participate in education fairs, seminars, webinars and promotional events when required.
- Work towards individual and team enrolment targets while maintaining ethical counselling standards.
- Keep up to date with international education programmes, admission requirements and relevant policy changes.
- Maintain student confidentiality and comply with company procedures.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in overseas education counselling, student recruitment or a similar role.
- New Zealand education counselling experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of international admissions and student application processes.
- Strong communication, counselling, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand student profiles and recommend realistic study options.
- Confident in handling enquiries and conducting consistent follow-ups.




- Solid attention to detail and good documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, email and online communication platforms.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Malayalam communication skills would be an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification is preferred.
